Dr. Kuo-Lin Huang is an Emeritus Professor of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineer from Clarkson University (USA) in 2001. His current research interests are broadly clustered in the areas of environmental and electrochemical technologies. He is particularly interested in developing electrochemical techniques for removal/degradation/remediation of pollutants, monitoring/abatement of toxic air pollutants, resource recovery, fabrication of electrodes/sensors, and proton exchange membrane fuel cells. Prof. Huang has participated in the scientific committee of several conferences and associations and serves as a reviewer in a wide range of international renowned journals and for grant proposals of some institutes in different countries. He is an author or a co-author of more than 105 papers in SCIE journals (H-index: 31 from Google Scholar and 29 from Scopus in 2025). He has been on the editorial board of Processes (Section Board for Environmental and Green Processes) since 2021. He also served as a guest editor for some special issues of two SCI journals (Environmental Science and Pollution Research and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy). He was a director of Association of Chemical Sensors in Taiwan (ACST) from 2014 to 2016 and a supervisor of Taiwan PM2.5 Control Association (PMCA) (2020–2024) and is a supervisor of Taiwan Association for Aerosol Research (TAAR) (2008–2026).

Yew Kee WONG (Eric) is a former Professor, Associate Vice-President, and Registrar at Hong Kong Chu Hai College. He has previously served as a Professor at BASIS. Hugo Wai Leung Mak is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His academic interests include mathematics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, image processing, and data-driven computational applications. He has contributed to interdisciplinary research involving Variational AutoEncoder (VAE) models, remote sensing, and game design applications, with publications in advanced computational and mathematical research areas.

Dr. Assma EL KADDOURI holds a Ph.D. in Materials, Mechanics, and Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Electrochemistry, awarded in 2014 from the University of Grenoble. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the LEMTA (Laboratory of Energy and Theoretical and Applied Mechanics) at the University of Lorraine. Peter Sarlos is a recently retired architect (September 2024), town planner, lawyer, arbitrator, construction adjudicator and accredited expert with over 50 years post post-graduate experience in leadership roles in the building and construction industry in Australia. In addition to his work as an architect, Peter has contributed his expertise as a town planner and lawyer. His skills also extend to the roles of arbitrator, construction adjudicator, and accredited expert, reflecting broad and deep experience across multiple disciplines related to the built environment.

Lisa M. Farmen formed Aquastry LLC to commercialize clean green sustainable water treatment chemistries developed with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and ONAMI. She recently completed the NSF I-Corps program in Philadelphia. Ms. Farmen was the Founder of Crystal Clear Technologies, Inc., which has developed nanotechnologies capable of removing biological and chemical contaminants from water at an affordable cost. Ms. Farmen received her B.S from Colorado State University in 1980 and Executive M.B.A. in International Business from Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 2000. As a chemical engineer, she built an OEM engineering and manufacturing company specializing in water, wastewater and chemical recovery systems for the electronics industry.

Prof. Eisuke Hanada was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1963. He received his B.Eng. and M. Eng. degrees from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 1985 and 1987, respectively.　He received his D.Eng. degree from Saga University, Saga, Japan, in 2001. He has worked in NEC Corp. for 5 years. Since 1992, he has worked at Nagasaki University Information Science Center for four years managing the campus LAN and information servers, and at the Department of Medical Information Science, Kyushu University Graduate School of Medical Science, the Division of Medical Informatics, Shimane University Hospital. Since 2014, he has been working at the Saga university Faculty of Engineering and Science as a professor.

Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor, Academician Mikayel G. Melkumyan (born on June 10, 1951) started his scientific and practical activity in 1973, immediately after graduation from the Civil Engineering Department of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, carrying out both design and experimental-theoretical research works to study the behavior of various reinforced concrete structures under seismic actions. In 1983 he led the Department of Earthquake Resistant Construction at the Armenian Scientific-Research Institute of Construction and Architecture. After the Spitak earthquake of December 7, 1988 in Armenia, he carried out the deep analysis of consequences of this and other earthquakes and reasons for extensive destructions of various buildings and structures. Alongside her two Master’s degrees in Urban Planning and Urban Governance from UCLA (Los Angeles) and Sciences Po (Paris), she conducted field-based research on DRM and planning in informal and precarious settlements in Mayotte following Cyclone Chido, as well as research on urban governance in Nairobi, mobility in Los Angeles, and architectural and planning innovations integrating risk mitigation in Europe. She subsequently deepened her expertise in disaster risk reduction and civil protection at TDS-Group, notably coordinating the initial stage of the €1 million EU-funded EU-Respond HNS TTX project in Armenia, a simulation exercise preparing UCPM, EU and Armenian teams to respond to earthquake disasters. She is currently a Project Officer in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Adaptation at Prepared International (PPI), working on international projects and proposals related to disaster prevention and preparedness, emergency management, risk assessment and climate adaptation across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Caribbean. Her work includes risk assessments and analysis, SOP and framework development, and support in capacity-building and training.

Valeria Licata is a civil engineer at the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA), where she works on the assessment, programming and monitoring of hydrogeological risk mitigation projects. She holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II and has more than ten years of experience in research, geotechnical design and infrastructure management. Before joining ISPRA, she worked at ANAS and RINA on complex infrastructure projects. Her professional and research interests include geotechnical engineering, infrastructure resilience, hydrogeological risk management and decision-support tools for public investments.

Dr. Cecilia Gañán de Molina is a jurist by training with a doctorate in Sustainable Rural Development (University of Córdoba) specializing in territorial innovation, participatory governance, and systemic change. Since 2016, she has served as an External Expert for the European Commission (DG REGIO) on Cohesion, Regional, and Urban policies. She is also an URBACT and a European Urban Initiative (EUI) expert, collaborating as an evaluator and rapporteur with different EU agencies. Her background combines executive public service (as former General Director of Environmental Participation and Information for Andalusia, Spain) with international consultancy on sustainability and environmental policies for the FAO and the IUCN

Ms. Mariam Petrosyan is a GIS and geospatial specialist based in Yerevan, Armenia, working at the intersection of spatial data infrastructure, remote sensing, and GEO-AI. She serves as National GIS Consultant for UNICEF Armenia and as a Lecturer in the Engineering Geodesy Department at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA). Her PhD research focuses on integrating AI and large language models into Armenia's National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). She has also contributed in an advisory capacity to the Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia. Her research bridges geospatial science, emerging AI technologies, and practical applications for environmental management and sustainable, resilient urban development.

Filimoni Tagicakibau is a development practitioner and resilience specialist with more than a decade of experience in Disaster Risk Management, Climate Change Adaptation, and Project Management across the Pacific region. He currently serves as the Senior Regional Portfolio Specialist for the Asia Pacific Region with the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), supporting resilient and sustainable infrastructure development in Asia Pacific countries. Prior to joining CDRI, Filimoni spent over 15 years with Fiji's Ministry of Rural Development and National Disaster Management and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), where he contributed to disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and climate resilience programs. He is also a certified International Trainer in Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Management, with extensive experience facilitating capacity-building and regional collaboration initiatives across the Pacific.

Dr. Newton Victor Machaca Cusilayme is a Senior Geologist with more than 25 years of professional experience in geology, geotechnics, environmental studies, and risk assessment. He has dedicated his career to the investigation and assessment of mass movement (landslide) hazards in the Puno region of Peru. He is a Principal Professor in the Professional School of Geological Engineering at the National University of the Altiplano (UNA-Puno), Peru, and serves as the Director of Research for the Master's Program in Environmental Protection Technologies. Dr. Machaca Cusilayme has also served as the President of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee at UNA-Puno, an External Advisor to the Regional Civil Defense Committee of Puno, and is an active member of the College of Engineers of Peru, the Latin American Association of Paleobotany and Palynology, and the Peruvian Paleontological Association. His research interests include engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, environmental protection, natural hazard assessment, landslide risk management, and disaster resilience.

Dr. Molly A. Ochuka is a climate adaptation finance and resilience specialist with over ten years of experience spanning research, consultancy, and applied climate action. She holds a PhD and MSc in Environmental Management, as well as a BA in Geography, and currently serves as the Climate Finance and Adaptation Lead at the Adaptation Consortium. Her work centers on strengthening climate finance systems, advancing climate governance, and promoting Locally Led Adaptation (LLA). She has played a pivotal role in facilitating participatory climate risk assessments and supporting climate action planning at both community and county levels across Kenya. In particular, she has been instrumental in operationalizing the County Climate Change Fund (CCCF) mechanism by building the capacity of county governments and the local community to establish and manage climate governance structures, including County and Community Climate Change Planning Committees (CCCPCs) and Ward Climate Change Planning Committees (WCCPCs)

Dr. Murat Kirişci is a Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics, Cerrahpaşa Medicine Faculty at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa. He received a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Erciyes University. His research has focused on the Matrix domain, statistical convergence, fixed-point theory, decision-making, fuzzy sets and systems, fuzzy logic, risk analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, intelligent systems, and optimization. He has contributed research papers to reputable journals and served as a reviewer for various scientific journals. Dr. Kirişci has 90 journal articles, 60 presentations at peer-reviewed scientific conferences, 11 book chapters, and 6 expert reports. He has conducted 275 peer reviews for scientific publications. In a Stanford University and Elsevier study, he was included in the list of "The World's Most Influential Scientists" for three consecutive years.
